Short description
INSIDE is an Erasmus+ Sport program, a collaborative partnership that aims to promote social inclusion of PwID through sport. As part of the project activities, an innovative training methodology for PwID will be developed and a capacity building training course will be created.
Target group
People with intellectual disabilities (PwID), sports coaches, professionals working with PwID, associated organizations, NGOs, stakeholders in national and EU level and local communities.

Empowering Sport Methodology Handbook
The partnership will develop a handbook based on a methodology that will focus on the inclusive aspects of sport participation. The methodology aims to foster social empowerment and integration of PwID.
“Easy-to-read” Sport and Games Guide
A guide addressing to PwID will be developed. The guide will use the “easy-to-read” methodology. “Easy-to-read” method simplifies the writing process into small and important to the reader information, which combined with photographic material, is easily perceived by pwID. Thus the material designed under this IO will serve as an important enabler for PwID for preparing sport activities and games by themselves.
Capacity Building Course for Professionals working with PwID
The partnership will develop a capacity building course for professionals working with PwID. The course will be based on the material and the lessons learned of I01 and IO2 and will aim to enhance knowledge and skills required for supporting PwID to access in sport activities. The capacity building course will focus on the inclusive role of sports and games, didactic guidelines about how to use sport for social empowerment and the health and safety measures needed to be taken under consideration.
Web-platform for social empowerment through sports
This Output includes the development of a web-tool for social empowerment which will be a fundamental tool towards the achievement of the project’s objectives. It will be used as a tool for triggering participants’ interest, and a means of communicating, and importantly, disseminating and exploiting the project’s results.
